Product Director, The Philadelphia Inquirer
Kim Fox is a product director for The Philadelphia Inquirer, focused on new product innovation and developing new business models. She earned her MBA from Temple University in 2019, where she focused her studies on corporate transformation. Previously, she was Managing Editor of Audience and Innovation, and was instrumental in helping lead the company’s digital transformation since arriving in December 2016.
Over the past three years Kim has built an impactful Audience Engagement Team and introduced a ‘data-informed’ mindset to the newsroom; developed new projects and design methods under an Innovation Team dedicated to experimentation in digital storytelling; helped deliver a suite of new products, including a daily smart speaker newscast, reader-driven reporting under the ‘Curious Philly’ banner and a suite of successful newsletter products; and managed the newsroom partnership with The Lenfest Lab, recently winning a Google GNI grant.
Over the past two decades, Kim has worked at the intersection of product, audience and editorial ,across all platforms, for companies including Fidelity Investments, Rogers Communications, The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Second City, ScribbleLive, CBS and Bloomberg News. A native of Canada, Kim is an active volunteer, mentor and public speaker for The Online News Association, SRCCON:Product, News Leaders Association, and Digital Women Leaders. Kim is a proud graduate of the Women’s Leadership Accelerator and is currently completing her Master of Science in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship.
