Originally from Kansas, Steve Lickteig now lives in Washington, D.C. and works as the executive producer for podcasts and audio for NBC News and MSNBC.
Previously, he worked as the executive producer of podcasts at Slate, as the executive producer of NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered and as a producer in various other roles at NPR. He has also worked for Sirius XM and produced and directed various documentaries including “Open Secret,” “One Family and a Kansas Town,” and Waiting for Hockney.

Lickteig was part of the panel “Ok, Google, Alexa and Siri: Play the news. Can you really help journalism in the podcast boom?” at ISOJ 2019.
