Ludovic Blecher is the Head of Google News Initiative Innovation. Before joining Google, he was the director of the FINP, a digital press fund for French publishers backed by Google. During his first 3 years at Google he led the effort to stimulate the european news-ecosystem as the Head of the Digital News Innovation Fund. Since 2019 he’s running the GNI Innovation Challenges, a program to empower news innovators from around the world to demonstrate new thinking in online journalism and the development of new publishing business models. Ludovic spent the past 15 years working in news as a journalist, editor in chief, CDO. He’s a 2012 fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard, and was a member of the French Digital Council independent advisory commission for the French Government.
