Juan Manuel Lucero is the News Lab Lead for Spanish Latin America at Google News Lab – a global team that works with newsrooms to innovate and collaborate on industry challenges. The News Lab is part of the Google News Initiative, which works with the news industry to help journalism thrive in the digital age.
Prior to joining Google, Juan worked as a speaker, digital strategy consultant and professor and director of graduate courses in marketing and digital business and innovation. He has lectured throughout Latin America and Spain. He holds an MBA degree from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and a postgraduate degree in Digital Journalism from Pompeu Fabra University. Juan’s experience in media includes strategy, marketing and editorial innovation. He has been teaching social media strategy, digital strategy and marketing since 2008. Earlier in his career, he worked as a technology columnist for television, radio and various online publications.
