Sarah Adler HartmanSarah Adler Hartman is the chief executive officer of The Texas Tribune. She stepped into the role of the Tribune’s third CEO in December 2025, continuing the organization’s legacy of visionary leadership. A native Texan and longtime Tribune fan, Sarah brings a deep commitment to strengthening civic trust at a moment when communities across the state face increasingly complex challenges. Before leading the Tribune, Sarah was head of product, subscriber experiences at The New York Times, where she focused on engaging and retaining subscribers for the news subscription business, leading product development and innovation. Sarah began her career as an entrepreneur, founding the food media company Spoon University before selling it to Scripps Networks Interactive.

She holds a bachelor of science in journalism and religious studies from Northwestern University, lives in Austin with her husband and two sons and serves on the Board of Visitors for the McDonald Observatory.
