Lauren Williams is Cofounder, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of Capital B. She is currently SVP and Editor in Chief of Vox, where she manages all editorial and business operations for the explanatory news network. In addition to Vox.com, Lauren oversees one of YouTube’s largest news channels (with 9 million subscribers); more than a dozen podcasts, including the daily news show Today, Explained, and a TV operation, anchored by the Netflix franchise Explained. Prior to becoming editor-in-chief of Vox, Lauren served as Executive Editor and Managing Editor. Before joining Vox, Lauren was an editor at Mother Jones and Deputy Editor of The Root. She is the 2020-2021 Hearst Digital Media Professional in Residence at Columbia University’s School of Journalism.
