Juan Manuel Lucero is the News Lab Lead in Argentina at the Google News Lab – a global team working with journalists to support innovation in the newsroom, provide training and collaborate on industry challenges . The News Lab forms part of the Google News Initiative, an effort to work with the news industry to help journalism thrive in the digital age.
Before joining Google, Juan worked as a lecturer, consultant in digital strategy, as well as professor and director of postgraduate courses related to journalism, marketing, innovation and digital business. He has traveled throughout Latin America giving conferences: from Argentina to Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Spain. He holds a postgraduate degree in Digital Journalism from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master of Innovation in Journalism.
Juan’s experience in media spans strategy, marketing and editorial innovation . Since 2008, he has taught social media strategy, digital strategy and marketing. Earlier in his career, he worked as a technology columnist in television, radio and various online publications.
