Urszula Pruchniewska is an assistant professor of Communication Studies in the Department of Communication Studies at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the critical analysis of media (particularly social media), digital technologies, and gender. Some of her previous work has explored gendered reporting in global journalism and the negotiation of self-identity by feminist writers online. Most recently, Urszula has been studying everyday feminist activism in digital spaces, such as the use of secret Facebook groups for women’s professional success. Urszula teaches in the area of social media, including social media theory, strategy, and ethics.
