Investigative journalist Carlos Fernando Chamorro Barrios is founder and editor of Nicaraguan news and investigative journalism site Confidencial and news program Esta Semana. He was a Knight Fellow at Stanford University, recipient of the Maria Moors Cabot Prize from Columbia University (2010) and winner of the Ortega and Gasset Prize from Spain’s El País (2021). He currently directs the news site and news program from exile in Costa Rica.
