Cristina Tardáguila is a senior program director at the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the the founder of Agência Lupa (the largest fact-checking initiative in Brazil). She has worked as a reporter and editor for main Brazilian media outlets, such as: O Globo, Folha de S.Paulo, and piauí magazine. She holds a degree in journalism from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, a postgraduate degree in journalism from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain) and an MBA in Digital Marketing from Fundação Getulio Vargas. Between 2019 and 2021, she was the associate director of the International Fact-Checking Network and coordinated the #CoronaVirusFacts alliance, the largest collaborative fact-checking project in the world.
