Eugene Daniels is an MSNBC Senior Washington Correspondent and, come this spring, will be a co-host of MSNBC’s “The Weekend” from 7 to 10 a.m. ET on Saturdays and Sundays.
First joining the network in 2021, Daniels was previously a Senior Political Analyst for MSNBC. He was also the Chief Playbook Correspondent and White House Correspondent for POLITICO.
Throughout his career, Daniels has interviewed countless political leaders and policy experts, and was one of the few reporters to have interviewed former Vice President Kamala Harris during her run for president in 2024. He has covered midterm elections, the Democratic presidential primary, and general elections through print, video journalism, podcasts, and live events.
Daniels is the current president of the White House Correspondents Association.
He also previously worked as a Political Reporter at Newsy and began his career in local television in Colorado Springs.
Daniels holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University and lives in Washington, D.C.
