McKenzie HenningsenMcKenzie Henningsen currently serves as the editor in chief of The Daily Texan, UT’s student-run newspaper. McKenzie oversees the newsroom and the Opinion department. Previously working as a copy issue staffer and associate copy desk chief, she moved to the Opinion department in 2023 as a columnist and associate opinion editor. McKenzie has covered on-campus protests, SB 17 implementation, faculty treatment and immigration policy. Her bylines can also be seen in Austin Woman Magazine, where she interned as a freshman. After graduation, McKenzie plans to work in journalism and digital media.
