ISOJ 25th anniversary in person registration sold out; virtual participation still available

More than 400 people have registered to attend the 25th Anniversary of the International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ) in person. The Knight Center has closed in person registration, but we are still accepting registrations for the virtual experience that goes beyond simple video streaming.

If you don’t want to miss this historic conference and learn from over 80 speakers from 19 countries, five workshops, a research session and much more, register for the ISOJ Virtual Experience for only 30 USD. The deadline for remote participation is April 11.

“We did it again! We reached our goal of having 400 people registered for ISOJ this year. Journalists, media executives, content creators and scholars are coming from many countries, from all over the United States and Texas to participate in this great conference in Austin and help us celebrate the 25th anniversary of ISOJ,” said professor Rosental Alves, the founder and director of ISOJ and the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas.

“We are also happy to see that hundreds of people have already registered to participate in ISOJ remotely, taking advantage of the innovative ways we offer to online participants to engage with our conference. ISOJ has always been streamed, even in the old days of the Real Video app, but lately we add several features that make the online participation much more effective,” Alves said.

The ISOJ Virtual Experience is nothing short of amazing, allowing you complete access to panels and keynote sessions, workshops, the new ISOJ Slack workspace, session recordings (posted soon after the live streaming), Meet-and-greet sessions with panelists (special video conference calls where you can ask questions to some speakers), the ISOJ Backstage Pass (live videos showing what’s going on off stage) and participation badges and prizes.  It’s a new way to engage with a conference from anywhere in the world!

When ISOJ started in 1999, the conference began in a small conference room with no more than 70 people. This year, on its 25th-anniversary celebration, the conference takes place in the Zlotnik Family Ballroom at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin, hosting more than 400 in-person attendees and preparing to host more than hundreds more virtually.

Se agotaron las entradas para el 25 aniversario del ISOJ; aún se puede asistir virtualmente

Más de 400 personas se han inscrito para asistir en persona al 25 aniversario del Simposio Internacional de Periodismo Online (ISOJ). El Centro Knight ha cerrado las inscripciones presenciales, pero aún se aceptan inscripciones para la experiencia virtual que va más allá de la simple transmisión en vídeo.

Si no quieres perderte esta conferencia histórica y aprender de más de 80 ponentes de 19 países, cinco talleres, una sesión de investigación y mucho más, inscríbase en la Experiencia Virtual ISOJ por sólo 30 USD. La fecha límite para participar a distancia es el 11 de abril.
