Kathleen Kingsbury is deputy editorial page editor at The New York Times. She joined the Times in 2017 from the Boston Globe’s newsroom, where she served as managing editor for digital. She also edited the Globe’s Ideas section and served as deputy editorial page editor. She won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing and edited the Globe’s 2016 Pulitzer Prize-winning commentary. Before joining the Globe, Kathleen worked for Time Magazine, where she was a New York-based staff writer and Asia correspondent based in Hong Kong.
Kingsbury chaired the panel “Global roundup: Journalism in the age of authoritarians, populists and polarization” at ISOJ 2019.
