Univision Noticias sponsors simultaneous interpretation to Spanish for ISOJ 2023

The 24th International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ) will feature simultaneous interpretation to Spanish for the ninth year. Once again, this feature will be offered thanks to support from Univision Noticias, one of the sponsors of ISOJ 2023.

“The idea to offer interpretation to Spanish came from Univision Noticias eight years ago. Since then, we have substantially expanded the impact of ISOJ in Spanish-speaking countries,” said professor Rosental Alves, founder of ISOJ. “So, we are happy to count on Univision Noticias’ support again, benefitting ISOJ attendees both at the auditorium in Austin and online.”

ISOJ is an annual conference that convenes journalists, media executives and scholars to discuss the impact of the digital revolution on journalism. Organized by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin, it will be held this year both virtually and in person on April 14 and 15. Registration is now open.

Univision Noticias is also a sponsor of the 16th Ibero-American Colloquium on Digital Journalism, which takes place the day after ISOJ, on April 16 at UT Austin and online. The colloquium is held in Spanish and focuses on online journalism in the U.S., Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Registration will open soon.

Austin-based InterPret Language Services, under the leadership of UT Austin alumnus Steven Mines, will provide the interpretation for ISOJ. Conference attendees will be able to check out headsets and headphones near the registration tables prior to the day’s panels and keynote sessions.
